Lokpal Bill: A Long Leap but still longer way to go

From the whole episode of the Lokpal Bill that has unfolded in last few weeks has left me with only one thought: “It’s just a step of getting rid of the Spoilt branches of a tree. The real infection still lies in the Roots” . The people who would likely be punished and prosecuted by the upcoming Lokpal bill (if at last it came into effect) are not aliens; they all are from amongst us. Punishing them may bring a satisfactory feeling for a person who’s suffering at the hands of Corruption. But, if we have to end the Corruption, as a whole, we have to change our attitude, education system, the ideals and the environment which we are giving to our younger generation.
